Year of the Dragon Centerpiece

Each year Drexel University hosts an alumni weekend. This year's theme is the "Year of the Dragon" and appropriately so as a dragon is their school mascot. We used their event logo pictured below as the inspiration for their centerpiece

We created cutouts of the lanterns, added glitter and then mounted a cutout of the glittered dragon onto the lanterns. The round base is trimmed with gold metallic ribbon, then filled with spanish moss. White orchids with their prominent yellow center and bamboo shoots add just the right touch for an oriental looking centerpiece.
